Welcome back to another band season. We have quite a few new band members! We’re looking forward to meeting many of the new parents and friends.
New band parents should make it a point to spend some time volunteering at band camp. It’s a great way to meet new friends and learn about the band program and the school. You can find a way to contribute your time and talents. The Booster officers welcome your input anytime. Please know that we value your participation.
The band program gives your child a built-in support network. We’re Band Boosters. We’re boosters for the kids first and foremost.
Band camp is exhausting for the students. Freshman parents, please understand your student will be very tired at the end of the day, maybe slightly sunburned, maybe frustrated trying to learn the system. That’s OK. They’ll survive and thrive. Really.
Make sure you drop by the practice field to watch every once in a while. You’ll see how hard your student is working. You’ll also see a crowd of parents watching over them with water and gatorade, providing first aid, and heat monitoring. And cheering the kids on and chatting them up.
Come on by. You’re family now.
